The news of the appointment of the new Council of the Polish Film Institute was accompanied on the Gazeta.pl portal by a text by Andrzej Saramonowicz, which was written two weeks before the appointment of the Council.
In no way does it refer, therefore, to the composition appointed yesterday, representing the Polish Filmmakers Association, the Directors Guild, the Screenwriters Guild, the Documentary Directors Guild, the Film Workers Trade Union, the Association of Studio Cinemas, among others.
Expressing legitimate concerns, Saramonovich suggested that the minister would want to staff the Council with people subordinate to himself. Fortunately, this did not happen, but "Gazeta.pl" nevertheless tries to comment on the new Council in this way.
