Polish Filmmakers Association signed new general agreement with Polsat Plus Group. Agreement covers also the internet exploitation

The Polish Filmmakers Association and the Polsat Plus Group have entered into a new general agreement regarding the use of audiovisual works from the SFP repertoire for broadcasting, rebroadcasting and making audiovisual works available on the internet.

In response to the vast and well-documented scope of the Polish Filmmakers Association's repertoire, both parties have collaboratively developed a comprehensive model of cooperation. This model facilitates the fair settlement of remuneration owed to creators and producers affiliated with the Polish Filmmakers Association for the use of their works by both Cyfrowy Polsat and other entities within the Polsat Plus Group. Given their longstanding cooperation, in the context of the dynamically changing film market, the parties are also covered by the agreement issues concerning the online exploitation of works.

The Polsat Plus Group is one of the largest Polish companies and a leading provider of media and telecommunications services, which is why we are very pleased with the extension of our cooperation and the comprehensive scope of the new agreement, which also covers the Internet exploitation field. The Polsat Plus Group has proved to be a pioneer of good practice in this respect, which we hope will be followed by other entities operating on the Polish market - comments Jacek Bromski, President of the Polish Filmmakers Association.

The Polish Filmmakers Association has a strong formal basis for representing authors and producers, as well as an extremely rich repertoire, including a very wide range of represented filmmakers and extensive cooperation with many foreign organisations.

This is certainly another important agreement in the context of our mutual relations, which provides us as a Group with a wide range of cooperation - says Aneta Jaskólska, Member of the Management Board of Cyfrowy Polsat S.A., Vice President of Polkomtel Sp. z o.o, Grupa Polsat Plus.

This agreement marks a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the Polish Filmmakers Association and the Polsat Plus Group, setting a precedent for industry best practices and paving the way for continued innovation in audiovisual content distribution.
